About Integrate Psychotherapy
We have all been hurt by experiences in life and many of us hold this pain deep within ourselves. If we give ourselves the space to heal, not only can we release this pain but we can transform our deepest suffering into our greatest resource.
Integrate Psychotherapy is a space where you will be met with compassion and your deepest parts will learn to feel safe and connected to yourself and to the world. The space is in the heart of Newtown, Sydney and is a safe place where you will be welcomed, whatever your identity.

I’m an accredited mental health social worker with 17 years experience helping people naviagate their psychological wellbeing. My approach is to creating a warm space of openness and non-judgment where my clients can feel safe to do deep healing.
My specialties are in trauma, neurodivergence, relational issues, loneliness, addictions, and eating disorders. Many of these fundamental issues are often at the heart of the depression and anxiety that most of my clients present with. In my practice I help my clients seek out and process the deep roots of their mood and nervous system responses. As part of my practice I also facilitate psychedelic integration, helping my clients ground and integrate any non-ordinary state of consciousness.
My background in Eastern philosophy helps me see the the world from a place of connectedness which I see as fundamental to a meaningful life. I believe mindfulness practice is the original therapeutic approach to the mind. It is essential to living a life of wholeness. Mindfulness is not something I insist my clients engage with, but I do recommend it in whatever form works for them.
Over the years I’ve supported people through most life stages: the challenges of growing up as a disillusioned man, a woman living in the patrichary, and those who’ve faced the challenges of breaking those conventions. Mid-life issues such as deep relationship challenges with partners, friends, family; and all of life’s inevitable tests such as shifting roles, hormonal changes, grief, and the many forms loss can take. As well as helping my older clients develop an increasing ability to let go of that which no longer serves them, gradually generating wisdom into older age.

Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. You might be dealing with anxiety, panic, low mood, or burnout, or struggling with the ongoing impact of trauma. Sometimes it feels like you are carrying too much on your own, or that old patterns keep getting in the way of living the life you want. My role is to help you make sense of what you aregoing through and work with you towards the changes that matter most to you.
I am a registered psychologist with a PhD in Clinical Psychology, originally from Ireland, and I have spent the past 10 years working across Ireland and Australia in public, private, and not-for-profit settings. Over this time, I have worked with a wide range of people and concerns, and I know that no two clients are the same. That’s why I take a person-centred, empathetic, and collaborative approach, where your goals guide the therapy.
I use a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am not rigid in how I work. Instead, I draw on the approaches that best support you and adapt them to what you need. I am always open to your needs and feedback on how you think therapy is progressing.
My approach is not to focus on a diagnosis. While diagnosis can be helpful for understanding symptoms and possible treatments, the important part is how does it affect your daily life and what would you like support with. For some, this might mean finding new ways of coping with overwhelming thoughts and feelings. For others, it might be about healing from past trauma, improving relationships, or regaining a sense of balance and purpose.
I believe therapy should feel safe and supportive, not intimidating. In our first sessions, we will talk about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve, and we will work out together whether I am the right fit for you. I want you to feel like “somebody gets me”. I am always upfront about this, because the relationship with your therapist is one of the most important parts of the process. This relationship can itself be deeply healing, especially for those who have experienced difficult or painful relationships in the past.
I work with adults experiencing a wide range of psychological difficulties, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); anxiety; depression; Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD); panic attacks; relationship issues; stress and burnout; grief and loss, including bereavement and major life changes; low self-esteem and self-worth; anger management and emotional regulation difficulties; life transitions and adjustment, such as career changes, moving, separation or divorce, parenthood, and retirement; sleep difficulties and insomnia; childhood trauma, complex trauma, and attachment wounds; chronic pain and health-related stress; workplace issues, including bullying, conflict, and performance anxiety; issues related to sexuality and identity; and addictive or compulsive behaviours or other problematic coping strategies.
If you are considering therapy, I welcome you to reach out. Together we can explore what you are looking for and how I can support you towards your goals.
